Tip #1

Taking color inspiration from all around you.  I have been inspired to make some bold color choices on my scrapbook pages by looking at the vibrant colors in my garden.  Be insprired by everything around you, Advertising, Fashion, Nature - whatever it is that catches your eye !!

Tip #2

Remember to always mark the back of your photographs with who, what, when & where.  I am going through my grandmothers photos and I am so glad that she did this, because I would not recognize half of the people in the photos, and now I know exactly which relative is in every photo, where and when it was taken, and some of the photos are over 100 years old.

Tip #3

I am setting up my scrapbooking room in the basement of my Grandmother's house and I have discovered that I like my embellishments sorted by color.  Sometimes I know that my page needs something, not sure what, and by sorting my embellishments by color, I can just go to the drawer that has the color I am looking for and there are dozens of different embellishment choices in just the correct color !!
